On Saturday, June 15, 2013, the Poorhouse at 180 N. Wolcott St. in Hillsdale will be open from noon to 4 p.m. so that community members can enjoy many pictures that aren't usually on display. Collected in notebooks by topic, these photos will remind older visitors of their childhood and introduce younger visitors to the way things used to be. At about 1 p.m. Dan Bisher will talk about "The Dastardly Deeds and Nefarious Career of Silas Doty." Please join us.

Call for Good Quality Pictures

The Hillsdale County Historical Society is always looking for historical pictures of Hillsdale County ... especially those that can be identified as to who's in them, what they show and/or where they were taken. We are interested in historical items relating to Hillsdale County as well. If you happen upon some old pictures that are still sharp and clear or Hillsdale County historical items and would like to donate them to the Society, please contact Darin Sheffer of the Acquisition Committee at bigdws76@yahoo.com.
